Details are in Asch's app, but essentially cloning in Asch's world involves taking half of an individual's matter to create a copy; as a result, it rendered both Asch and his clone unstable, so they're basically dissolving. Asch heard from people in-game that it's possible to use crystals to cure terminal diseases, and Allura in this thread suggested he speak to Piphron to see what Piphron actually needs to make Asch not die.
What Asch would explain to Piphron is that it's not just him; he and Luke are physically the same person and they're slated to combine into one body at some point or another (which they consider 'dying'). They both want to remain their own people, so what Asch really wants is to make them both stable in two separate bodies. The complication is that they don't really have a terminal disease; he wants to make permanent an arguably unnatural state of being which involves someone else. (At this stage we are playing them as being more stable if they remain in physical proximity with each other, but they're still slowly degenerating).
Luke has a different alignment, so ICly Asch is expecting to have to bring Luke and his Arehtei into things, but right now he's at a stage of wanting to know what it would take.

As I am not technically a part of the mod team, I'm going to toss this over to them, as I'm unsure what this would entail or if this is something that Piphron would be involved with. I suspect from my experience that he wouldn't really have any idea what was going on with Luke and Asch, but I'll check back in with you after I discuss.

"[Luke and Asch] would have to learn how to stabilize themselves through some kind of magic, dunamis or technology, which could then be assisted with the energy from a complete crystal(s) and their Arehtei, if the latter agreed to it.
[The Arehtei themselves] wouldn't be able to solve the issue. Piphron wouldn't know anything about how their situation works or about curing diseases, since the past instances of that have been mostly through character effort with minimal Arehtei influence, but he could suggest that he'd be able to lend them some energy for the process if he was so inclined!"
If you would like to still meet with Piphron, he will express the sentiments of the second paragraph - i.e. that he doesn't know anything about what's going on with them but he can support whatever they decide to do with his power. I'm happy to thread this out if you would like!

I would still like to play this out though, since it's an important stage in Asch figuring out his course of action. How does that normally happen? Would I just make a heading in my log and we play it there or is there an official place for it?
